Services - Managed Video Conferencing

Consultancy is the critical first step to developing a successful managed video conferencing solution.

Business and technical consulting

Telstra iVision provides both business and technical consulting to help ensure you are thoroughly prepared for your business video solution.

Business consulting

Helps you develop your strategy and the associated business case. Business consulting Covers:

  • Strategy development: starts with understanding your business and determining your business video objectives. We can then align business video with your organisation’s initiatives and profile your workforce. The evaluation of your workforce is crucial to technology planning and selecting the right mix of business video technology.
  • Business case development: the development of a thorough business case will help you get the right funding and also make business video a priority within your organisation
  • Usage analysis: benchmarking and analysing the usage of any business video infrastructure will help you evaluate if the existing infrastructure can support your objectives.

Technical consulting

Reviews and designs the network to ensure that implementation can go ahead smoothly. Technical consulting covers:

  • Technology planning and design: aligns business video technologies to the objectives and workforce profiles created in strategy development. This enables your organisation to see which business video technology will be required and will also clearly determine the technical and end user capability requirements for integration and implementation
  • Network assessment: determines your network’s business video readiness. This is important because lack of network readiness can cause the failure of business video applications
  • Project planning and budgeting services: takes your objectives, workforce and resources into consideration.

Visionnet

High quality business video is within easy reach with Visionnet – a dedicated IP-based network designed and built for real-time, live video conferencing.

There's no reason to accept inferior quality video or to battle with complexity when you can access Visionnet. Visionnet provides you with a simple to use, high quality video conferencing solution.

Technically speaking, Visionnet offers you a complete IP based video conferencing network solution including multipoint bridging and gateway services to both ISDN and IP sites.

It provides the reliability and quality of service (QoS) required for mission critical video conferencing with the added advantage of being a cost effective alternative to ISDN for video conferencing.

Visionnet's exclusive video features extend the video communications experience to new levels of simplicity and effectiveness

These advanced, easy to use, features make video conferencing as simple and spontaneous as using a telephone but with the added power of face-to-face communications.

Direct Dial Video
Each Telstra iVision Visionnet site has its own regular phone number. There are no more special codes, IP addresses or other confusing dialling plans. The direct dial video number enables anyone to call the site quickly and easily from any video system.

You can put the direct dial video number on business cards or other collateral as a standard phone number that instantly connects to that Visionnet site. This means you can receive video calls from another video system or everyday audio calls from standard telephones and mobile phones. With no need to highlight the telephone number as a video line, you remove any potential confusion for callers.

Call Redirection
This allows you to dynamically program your video conferencing system to forward all incoming calls to another system on the Visionnet network, for example to a standard telephone number or to an IDSN video number to ensure that an important call is never missed.

Conditional call forward/busy no answer enables calls to be forwarded to another location if an incoming call receives a busy signal or the call is not picked up. The conditional call forward/busy no answer option must be manually provisioned by Telstra iVision.
